Who benefits from in-home care?
A: Anyone who needs assistance to function independently at home. At Caring Companions, you can get as little as 4 hours of help or as much as 24 hours a day, depending on your specific needs. We can help seniors remain independent in their own homes or provide extra care at facilities, hospitals, and more. Caring Companions can help people of all ages with in-home care after surgery, recovery period from an illness, and assist during times of chemo or radiation treatments.
How are Caring Companions caregivers selected?
A: Our founder has been providing in-home care since 1996, so we understand what makes a quality caregiver. First and foremost, all of our caregivers are compassionate people with a heart for seniors. In addition, every caregiver goes through a seven-step screening process, which includes criminal and abuse background investigations.
How quickly can in-home care services begin?
A: After your in-home assessment, we can provide care as quickly as you need it. We provide a reliable, compassionate, affordable caregiver on your timeframe, according to your needs. We have a 4-hour minimum each visit with no minimum number of visits, and you can cancel service at any time.
What if I’m not living in my house? Can I still obtain your services?
A: Yes. Our care services can be provided at hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or your home. Where and how you receive services is up to you.
How are services paid for?
A: There are several different ways services can be paid for; private pay/out of pocket, TennCare choices program contracted with Bluecare or Amerigroup, VA Aide & Attendance Program, long-term care insurance and worker’s comp insurance.
What happens in an emergency?
A: Our 24-hour on-call personnel are ready to promptly provide that emergency replacement should the need arise. Our on-call team is also the office staff who knows who you are and understands each unique situation. Our goal is to provide you a top-notch fill-in in the event your caregiver is out for any reason. We practice and believe good communication is the key to a good working relationship.
